Daking's Mic Pre 500 is a redesigned version of a single channel from their popular Mic Pre IV in a module format for use in 500 Series racks.
Like the Mic Pre IV, the Mic Pre 500 uses a Jensen input transformer, Class A, discrete transistor circuitry. The Mic Pre 500 uses a tri-color LED metering setup and accepts both line and hi-Z inputs via the 1/4 jack, equipped with +48V phantom power. With a -20dB pad for added versatility, the Mic Pre 500 microphone preamplifier is ready for anything. The front panel controls include a variable high-pass filter (with a range of 10-200Hz @ 12db per octave) as well as continuously variable input gain. It also includes an eight-segment tri-color LED meter with simultaneous VU and Peak.
