Telefunken | USA introduces the U47 M, a meticulous recreation of the classic tube microphone. Since its development in 1946, the ubiquitous Telefunken U47 has been the microphone of choice for generations of recording engineers. Instantly Recognizable from the Beatles to Frank Sinatra, the Telefunken U47 M is a microphone with an indelible character, smooth in-your-face presence and undeniably punchy tone, which sounds wonderful on any signal source, from violin to vocals.
Built entirely by hand in Connecticut (USA), the U47 M microphone system comes complete with your choice of New Old Stock Telefunken VF14 or EF14 tube, a custom built transformer, choice of re-skinned vintage M7 or K47 capsule, heavy duty shock mount, wooden microphone box, custom 10 meter Gotham Audio cable, owners manual and 5 year warranty. Available in Long and Short Body designs.
For those of you familiar with the classic U47, the Telefunken U47 M will be immediately recognizable. For those who have not yet had the pleasure of recording with a U47, the Telefunken U 47M may be a revealing experience.
