Great Neve Tone!
Very happy with the AMS Neve 1073LB - it provides that beautiful vintage neve tone and makes everything that passes thru it sound like gold. Recently used it on acoustic guitar with an earthworks mic - wonderful! Would recommend.

Fantastique?!!
Je me suis procuré récemment un preamp Neve 1073 LB. Au-delà de la légende et de la réputation, la qualité des produits NEVE était nouvelle pour moi. Dans un premier temps, je dois dire WOW?!, ce préamp associé à un bon microphone est tout simplement incroyable pour les voix.
Lire plusChaque préamp à des caractéristiques qui lui sont propres, mais le Neve 1073 LB est bien au-dessus des standards de production. Le préamp Neve 1073 LB demeure une pièce d'équipement qu'il faut avoir dans son arsenal d'équipement audio.

Sounds like our vintage Neve
Super happy with our Neve 1073LB. Has same Neve awesomeness as our vintage Neve mic-pre. So far the only notable difference is at very high gains (65+) - the 1073LB has less noise than our original.
Could be the years on our original, but either way,
Lire plusit is quite welcome when we are tracking with ribbon microphones.
I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a 500 series mic pre.

Great Preamp!
Not surprising that this pre sounds amazing. I'm extremely happy I bought it. I'm definitely interested in the other Neve lunchbox modules and it's great that I can eventually get the 1073 EQ and have it inserted before the output transformer of the pre (like the classic standalone 1073 module) even though they'd be side by side in the lunchbox.
Lire plus Amazingly big sound with that classic Neve character. I've watched many shootouts between the Neve and other 1073 clones, and the Neve always wins to my ears as being slightly more musical on multiple sources (even in the blind shootout tests). This must have to do with the nuances of the Neve build, of which the other clone manufacturers haven't yet implemented in order to fully replicate the exact circuit that our ears have become accustomed to over the countless albums the Neve 1073 has been featured on. Amazing mic pre. No question! ;)

Préamp excellent
Ce préamp sonne vraiment comme un Neve classique, il devient un élément important pour des highs très soyeux et des basses bien présentes. Le panneau est bien disposé, facile à reprendre et précis quand il le faut avec l'ajustement secondaire.
Lire plusLe commutateur d'impédance est là au besoin, permet de tester différents tones. La finition est solide, bien visible. Le 48v doit être activé en poussant un pot après chaque fermeture du module.
