Adjustable Counter Weight
Depending on the size of your studio mics, the angle of the boom arm, and the placement of the mic itself, an adjustable counter weight on the boom can maximize the relative position of your studio microphone for added stability while minimizing the amount of vibration and force placed on the mic stand. The MC-125 features a 5.75 lb. die-cast counterweight that is easy to adjust for just the right placement.

Good stand, terrible pivot

Bought an MC125 when new, and for 6 months it was great, no problem. But the pivot point of the boom is a small under-engineered fitting that contains a lot of plastic. Needless to say, this is the part that takes the most stress, and wears out rapidly. Read more
