Designed for demanding conditions, Astral Mini Plus features IP67 waterproof and sweatproof protection, allowing it to operate in outdoor, high-movement, and live production settings. The rounded ergonomic housing supports comfortable wear, while the integrated rotatable belt clip can be positioned at 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270° for flexible mounting options.
Power management is built for long production days. The unit delivers 8+ hours of operation at 20 mW and supports one or two XL-B14500 rechargeable batteries. A built-in USB-C charging port allows direct charging, simplifying workflows and reducing the need for external chargers.
Astral Mini Plus offers a wide 169 to 1525 MHz SpectraBand tuning range, including VHF operation. This broad frequency coverage supports use across multiple regions without requiring hardware changes, making it suitable for touring productions and multi-location work.
Several features are included to streamline setup and operation. Tap-to-pair functionality with integrated RFID supports fast configuration, while the ePaper display remains readable in direct sunlight and stays visible even without battery power. A vibrate-to-identify function helps locate and confirm devices quickly during setup.
Audio handling is based on GainForward Architecture, which removes the need to adjust transmitter gain. Audio levels are controlled at the mixer, supporting consistent signal handling across the stated 10 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. The transmitter supports both 2-wire and 3-wire lavalier microphones, offering compatibility with a range of professional lav options.
For recording and backup, Astral Mini Plus includes 32-bit float recording at 48 kHz with 64 GB of internal storage, providing approximately 80 hours of recording capacity. Additional control features include built-in NexLink long-range remote control, Bluetooth connectivity via the Astral Remote app, and an internal timecode generator with NexLink jamming support.
