The OBSBOT Meet Flip officially launches today, August 29. OBSBOT has built the Meet Flip as a compact, AI-powered foldable 4K webcam for video calls, streaming, presentations, teaching, and content production. Its combination of a 48-megapixel sensor, autofocus, integrated dual microphones, USB-C connectivity, and a compact folding design makes it a practical option for anyone who regularly moves between workspaces or needs a capable camera without adding much equipment to the desk.
The folding design is one of the Meet Flip’s most distinctive features. In its working position, the camera measures 41.6 × 36.9 × 31.9 mm. Folded down, it measures 41.6 × 44.9 × 18.8 mm and weighs only 37.7 grams. That makes it easy to pack with a laptop while also reducing the amount of space it occupies when not being used.

4K Video From a 48-Megapixel Sensor
The Meet Flip uses a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with 48 million effective pixels and an ƒ/1.8 aperture. It supports video resolutions up to 4K at 30 frames per second and 1080p at up to 60 frames per second.
For users who need smoother motion rather than maximum resolution, 1080p and 720p can both operate at frame rates up to 60 fps. The camera also supports HDR, giving it additional flexibility when dealing with scenes that contain both bright and dark areas.
The imaging system includes up to 4x digital zoom, a 79.1-degree diagonal field of view in 4:3 and 72 degrees in 16:9, PDAF autofocus and manual focus, and a minimum focusing distance of 10 cm. Exposure compensation extends to ±3 EV, while the ISO range runs from 100 to 6400. Shutter speeds range from 1/12800 to 1/30 second, and white balance can be adjusted from 2000K to 10000K.
PDAF autofocus is particularly useful for a webcam intended to handle more than static meetings. The camera can focus from approximately 10 cm through infinity, allowing it to accommodate a person speaking to camera as well as objects brought closer to the lens during demonstrations or presentations.

An Intelligent Dual-Microphone System
OBSBOT has also put considerable attention into the audio side of the Meet Flip. Instead of relying on a single built-in microphone, it combines one omnidirectional microphone with one directional microphone.
The microphone system provides Directional Mode, Dual-Directional Mode, Smart Omni Mode, and Pure Audio Mode. These options give the camera more flexibility across individual calls, conversations involving multiple people, presentations, and other setups where the desired pickup pattern can change.
USB-C Connectivity and a Standard Mounting Option
The Meet Flip connects through USB-C and uses USB 2.0 for data. Power requirements are 5V at 0.4A, and OBSBOT includes both a USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter in the package.
A standard UNC 1/4-20 interface is also built into the camera. This allows the Meet Flip to be used with compatible tripods, arms, and other mounting accessories rather than limiting it to a laptop or monitor position.
The camera itself includes the 4K lens, status indicator, intelligent dual-microphone system, USB-C port, and 1/4-20 mounting interface.

Software and Computer Requirements
The OBSBOT Meet Flip supports Windows 10 64-bit or later and macOS 11 or later. OBSBOT Center, formerly known as OBSBOT WebCam, and Obsbot Live provide the associated software environment for the camera.
For 1080p at 60 fps or 4K operation, OBSBOT recommends Apple computers based on the M1 chip or later, including compatible MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iMac models. For Windows PCs, the recommended configuration starts with a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor or higher and 8GB of RAM.
A Different Approach to the Everyday Webcam
The OBSBOT Meet Flip combines several features that are usually evaluated separately when choosing a webcam. It provides 4K capture, 60 fps operation at 1080p, PDAF autofocus, HDR, configurable audio pickup, a standard mounting thread, and software control, yet the complete camera weighs less than 40 grams and folds down for transport.
That combination should make it particularly relevant for creators, remote professionals, educators, presenters, and musicians who want a compact camera that can move easily between setups without giving up higher-resolution video or flexible audio options.
