The Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP is an advanced live production switcher designed for professional broadcast environments transitioning to SMPTE-2110 IP video infrastructure. Built around high-speed 100G Ethernet connectivity, it combines powerful multi-camera switching with fully native IP workflows, making it ideal for live events, broadcast studios, esports productions, houses of worship, and remote production systems. With support for both modern SMPTE-2110 IP video and traditional SDI integration through optional converters, the switcher offers exceptional flexibility for evolving production environments.
The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP features 32 video inputs and 32 outputs with full SMPTE-2022-7 redundancy across its 100G Ethernet connections for uninterrupted operation during mission-critical productions. Every input includes its own standards converter and re-synchronizer, allowing mixed-format video sources to integrate seamlessly without external processing hardware. The system also includes 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers, four independent multiview outputs, dual SuperSource processors, and a total of 12 DVEs, providing extensive creative control for layered graphics, chroma keying, picture-in-picture effects, and dynamic broadcast transitions.
Designed for modern production workflows, the switcher integrates with NMOS control systems, PTP synchronization, Fairlight Live audio mixing, HyperDeck recording systems, and Blackmagic control panels. Integrated media players support stills, animations, and motion graphics, while built-in macro automation helps simplify complex live production sequences. The front panel includes a built-in HD status display, monitoring controls, speaker, headphone output, and USB-C connectivity for setup and software control. Compact enough for mobile production while powerful enough for large-scale broadcast facilities, the ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP delivers scalable professional live switching with the speed and reliability required for next-generation IP-based production systems.
