The Lectrosonics DSSM Water-Resistant Micro Digital Wireless Transmitter (537 to 662 MHz) is a compact and durable wireless bodypack built for professionals who demand reliability, discretion, and security in challenging environments. Whether you're outfitting talent for theater, television, film, sports, or live broadcast, this transmitter combines an ultra-small form factor with rugged, IP57-rated water and dust resistance, allowing it to withstand immersion in water up to 3.3 feet for 30 minutes. Its machined aluminum alloy housing and removable SMA-mounted antenna further enhance its resilience and flexibility in the field.

Designed for compatibility with Lectrosonics’ digital ecosystem, the DSSM works seamlessly with receivers like the DSQD, DCHR, M2Ra, DSR, DSR4, and DCR822. It features a LEMO 3-pin mic input with servo bias circuitry that accommodates electret lavaliers, dynamic microphones, and line-level inputs, offering versatility across use cases. The transmitter provides RF power options of 10, 25, and 50 mW (D2 mode) and a 4 mW option for high-density mode, helping to balance range, battery life, and system density. Its 6-hour runtime is powered by the removable LB-50 rechargeable battery, which can be quickly swapped or dock-charged with the optional CHSDSSM charging station (sold separately).

User-friendly design elements like an OLED display, membrane switch panel, and menu system shared with the DBSM family make on-body configuration straightforward. A DSP-controlled analog limiter with over 30 dB of range ensures clean audio even during loud transients, and selectable low-frequency roll-off settings help tailor audio response. With AES 256-bit CTR encryption offering four key policies, the DSSM ensures secure transmission for even the most sensitive productions. Support for firmware updates via USB and remote control using the LectroRM mobile app adds extra convenience, rounding out this transmitter as a high-performance tool for modern wireless audio workflows.
