Description

The phase8 is an acoustic synthesizer with eight independent electromechanical voices, each using physical steel resonators to generate sound. Developed with KORG’s Acoustic Synthesis technology, it creates rich, responsive tones through real-world vibration, enhanced by precise electronic control. The result is a dynamic instrument that reacts organically to touch, movement, and its environment.

Users can install eight resonators at a time from a set of thirteen chromatically tuned options, allowing for customized sonic exploration. A built-in rhythm sequencer offers both step programming and unquantized live recording, supporting polymetric patterns and automation of all front-panel parameters. The instrument responds not only to knob adjustments but also to physical gestures—tapping, plucking, or adding found objects. Modulation modes, trigger delays, and the AIR slider further expand expressive possibilities. With MIDI, USB, CV, and Sync connectivity, phase8 integrates fluidly into a wide range of setups.
