Description

The Lectrosonics DSREXTUSB is a versatile adapter designed to transform the DSR Series digital slot-in receivers into efficient, stand-alone units. This adapter adds essential connectivity options, including two balanced TA3M audio outputs, a locking Hirose-4 DC power input, and a USB-C port. These additions enable users to connect the receiver to Wireless Designer software for real-time channel setup, monitoring, frequency coordination, and scanning. It's ideal for applications where slot-in use isn’t feasible and a compact, freestanding receiver configuration is preferred.

The adapter installs securely on the bottom of the DSR unit using two Phillips screws and connects internally via a miniature mating connector. The USB-C jack, positioned on the rear panel, is strictly for Wireless Designer connectivity thus, firmware updates must still be performed using the Micro-USB port located on the top panel of the DSR receiver, beneath the display. The external power input accepts 7–18 VDC through the Hirose-4 connector, supporting a maximum current draw of 450 mA at 7V. Compact and reliable, the DSREXTUSB is ideal for field use, cart setups, or fixed installations where full access to digital audio control and monitoring is required without relying on a camera slot.
