Description

The Genelec 8020 DMM is a compact yet powerful 2-way active studio monitor designed for precise sound reproduction in nearfield applications. Ideal for small studios, edit suites, and portable setups, it features a 105 mm (4”) woofer and a 19 mm (¾”) metal dome tweeter with Genelec’s signature Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) for smooth, consistent imaging. Despite its small footprint, it delivers a linear frequency response from 62 Hz to 20 kHz (±2.5 dB) and a maximum SPL of 107 dB, making it remarkably capable for its size.

The 8020 DMM integrates dual 50 W Class D amplifiers (one for each driver) and an active crossover, ensuring clean and efficient performance with minimal distortion. Its aluminium bass reflex cabinet provides durability and acoustic integrity, while smart features like magnetic shielding, recessed connectors, and an automatic standby function add convenience and versatility in professional environments. The monitor also includes the Iso-Pod stand, which decouples it from surfaces and allows for precise angle adjustment.

Whether wall-mounted, desktop-placed, or rigged in a multi-monitor setup, the 8020 DMM adapts easily with various mounting options.
