Description

The Genelec 8030CMM Studio Monitor (black finish) is a compact yet powerful nearfield speaker designed for accurate reference mixing in small to mid-sized studios. It sits in the sweet spot between the smaller 8010 and 8020 models by offering higher SPL (≥104 dB short term, ≥110 dB peak) and deeper bass extension down to 47 Hz (-6 dB), while maintaining Genelec’s signature clarity and detail. Its die-cast aluminium enclosure with Reflex Port Design houses a 130 mm bass driver and a 19 mm metal dome tweeter, each powered by dedicated 50 W Class D amplifiers for high-efficiency performance.

The 8030CMM features Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) for wide, controlled dispersion and consistent imaging, both on- and off-axis. Its Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) ensures uncoloured sound, and the included Iso-Pod™ stand helps isolate the speaker from surfaces while allowing angle adjustments. With rear panel room response switches, users can tailor the monitor’s performance to different acoustic environments, making it ideal for professional mixing, editing, or post-production work.

Connectivity is straightforward with a single balanced XLR input, and intelligent energy-saving features like Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) help reduce power consumption when idle. Compact in size (H 299 x W 189 x D 178 mm with Iso-Pod™) and weighing just 5 kg, the 8030CMM delivers serious monitoring performance without dominating your workspace.
