Description

The Genelec 8040BMM is a high-performance 2-way active nearfield studio monitor in a sleek black finish, trusted by audio professionals worldwide for its uncompromising accuracy and power. Delivering a frequency response of 41 Hz to 25 kHz (-6 dB) and a maximum SPL of 105 dB, the 8040BMM offers both precision and impact which makes it ideal for mixing, mastering, and post-production environments that demand clarity across the full frequency spectrum.

This monitor features a 165 mm bass driver and a 19 mm metal dome tweeter, each powered by dedicated 90 W Class AB amplifiers, all housed in Genelec’s signature recycled aluminium enclosure. The design incorporates Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) and Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) technologies for exceptionally smooth off-axis response and uncoloured sound. The included Iso-Pod™ stand ensures optimal acoustic decoupling and flexible placement, while rear-panel room response controls allow for tuning to any room setup.

With Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) for automatic power-saving, a reflex port design for extended low-end response, and a compact footprint (H 365 x W 237 x D 223 mm), the 8040BMM combines form, function, and fidelity which makes it a staple for serious studio professionals.
