Description

The Neumann KMS 104 plus is a professional vocal microphone that brings true studio sound quality to the stage. Equipped with a Neumann condenser capsule, it delivers superior clarity, extended frequency response, and excellent transient detail compared to dynamic microphones.

Its tight cardioid polar pattern ensures excellent feedback rejection and high gain before feedback, while handling extreme SPLs up to 150 dB without distortion. A fixed low-cut filter optimizes close-miking by controlling proximity effect, and the extended low-frequency response (100"150 Hz) adds warmth and weight, making it especially popular among female singers. The rugged design includes a hardened steel grille with an integrated pop screen to suppress plosives and moisture, and a transformerless output that minimizes interference and supports cable runs up to 300 m (1000 ft).

Though designed primarily for vocals, the KMS 104 plus is also highly effective for instruments such as percussion, brass, acoustic guitar, and even broadcast applications, thanks to its wide dynamic range and natural, balanced sound.
