Description

The BiG [Studio] from SPL is a precision audio tool designed to expand and shape the stereo image of any signal with clarity and creativity. Built in a 19-inch rackmount format and finished in sleek black, it uses a unique analog process that enhances spatial depth without relying on traditional mid/side techniques. This method ensures a wide stereo field while preserving mono compatibility, free from phase issues or sonic distortion. Ideal for refining mix buses or individual elements, BiG [Studio] brings dimension and detail to the forefront of production.

Its control layout is simple and effective. Three main knobs, Range, Stage, and Bigness, allow fast and intuitive adjustment of frequency focus, stereo positioning, and image intensity. A dedicated Tube Harmonics section lets users blend in harmonically rich textures, made possible by an integrated tube circuit. The Bass switch at the end of the processing chain adds low-frequency weight, inspired by SPL’s mastering gear. Built with high-voltage analog components and housed in a rugged steel chassis with aluminum knobs, BiG [Studio] reflects SPL’s commitment to performance and durability, all developed and assembled in Germany.
