The RME Optical MADI SFP Module – Single Mode is a high-performance optical transceiver designed to expand the MADI connectivity of compatible RME devices for long-distance audio transmission. Supporting up to 64 channels of MADI audio, this module is ideal for professional setups requiring stable, low-latency audio communication over extended distances such as in broadcast facilities, stadiums, or large-scale live sound environments.

This Single Mode variant uses a 9/125 µm fiber optic cable with an LC duplex connector, supporting cable runs up to 20 km, far beyond what multi-mode systems typically allow. The module is clearly marked with “SM” (Single Mode) for easy identification and should only be paired with other single-mode MADI systems to ensure full compatibility and signal integrity.

The RME Single Mode SFP Module is compatible with key RME products including the 12Mic, AVB Tool, M-1610 Pro, M-32 Pro II, M-1620 Pro, M-1620 Pro D, and HDSPe AoX. Whether used for fixed installations or mobile systems, this module is a professional solution for extending MADI signal paths with maximum distance and reliability.
