Description

The RME Optical MADI SFP Module – Multi Mode is a professional-grade expansion component designed to extend the MADI capabilities of compatible RME devices via fiber optic connectivity. Ideal for studios, broadcast setups, and live environments that require high channel counts and long-distance transmission, this Multi Mode SFP transceiver allows up to 64 audio channels to be transmitted and received over optical MADI links.

Engineered for reliable performance, the module uses an LC duplex receptacle and supports cable runs of up to 2 km (OM1 fiber) which is perfect for connecting devices across large facilities or stages. To ensure compatibility with common MADI infrastructures that often use SC connectors, RME includes a 2-meter fiber optic cable and an SC-to-SC coupler, allowing seamless integration with existing cabling systems.

The module is clearly labeled with "MM" (Multi Mode) for easy identification and should be used with other Multi Mode MADI systems to ensure reliable signal transmission. It is hot-pluggable and compatible with a wide range of RME devices, including the 12Mic, AVB Tool, M-1610 Pro, M-32 Pro II, M-1620 Pro, M-1620 Pro D, and HDSPe AoX.
