The DPA 4099 CORE+ Instrument Microphone for Brass is a next-generation clip-on microphone designed to deliver pristine, focused sound from high-SPL brass instruments in both live and studio settings. Outfitted with DPA’s advanced CORE+ technology, this microphone offers an expanded dynamic range, ultra-low distortion, and a natural sonic character that captures the nuance and power of instruments like trumpet, trombone, and other brass with stunning accuracy.

This version features a Supercardioid polar pattern, providing superior gain-before-feedback and excellent isolation from adjacent sound sources, making it ideal for stage environments with multiple instruments or high ambient levels. The included instrument clip for brass offers a stable, flexible mounting system that won’t damage the instrument’s surface, and allows precise positioning on the bell for optimal tonal balance. The Extreme SPL configuration (identified by the red marking on the gooseneck) is capable of handling peaks up to 145 dB SPL before clipping, ensuring clean performance even during the loudest passages.

With a MicroLock connector, IP58 certification for dust and moisture resistance, and compatibility with DPA’s full range of wireless adapters and accessories, the 4099-DC-2-199-T is engineered for seamless integration into any professional rig.
