Description

The Lectrosonics DSSM Water-Resistant Micro Digital Wireless Transmitter is a compact and rugged wireless solution designed for professional audio applications where discreet placement and environmental durability are essential. With its IP57 rating, the DSSM is built to endure both dust and brief water immersion which is ideal for theater, sports, broadcast, and film productions in demanding environments. Its solid aluminum housing, LEMO 3-pin connector, and removable SMA-mounted antenna contribute to a robust design, while AES 256-bit CTR encryption ensures secure audio transmission across sensitive applications including corporate and government use.

Despite its small footprint, the DSSM packs in powerful capabilities. It delivers selectable RF output power levels, 10, 25, or 50 mW in D2 mode, and 4 mW in high-density (HDM) mode which provides flexibility for varying range and battery life requirements. The servo bias input accommodates electret lav mics, dynamic mics, or line-level inputs, and a DSP-controlled limiter with over 30 dB of range protects the signal from distortion. A bright OLED display and intuitive control panel make operation simple, and the removable LB-50 battery offers up to 6 hours of runtime with fast recharging using the included CHSDSSM 4-bay drop-in charger.

The DSSM is compatible with a wide array of Lectrosonics digital receivers, including DSQD, DCHR, M2Ra, DSR, DSR4, and DCR822, making it a flexible choice for existing setups. With field-updatable firmware via the internal USB port and remote configuration through the LectroRM mobile app, the DSSM is engineered for seamless integration, ease of use, and consistent performance in high-stakes environments.
