Audeze has introduced the LCD-5s, a refinement of their flagship open-back planar magnetic headphones, now featuring an enhanced driver system and proprietary SLAM™ technology. Designed for professionals and discerning listeners, the LCD-5s focuses on delivering mastering-grade detail, a wider soundstage, and a more natural frequency response than its predecessor.

At the heart of the LCD-5s is a newly engineered nano-scale Parallel Uniforce™ diaphragm paired with a restructured chassis for highly accurate midrange tuning. This design supports extended frequency response from 5Hz to 50kHz with very low distortion (THD <0.1% @ 100dB SPL), offering clarity even at high volumes.
SLAM™ technology enhances transient response and low-end control, giving bass notes more presence without losing detail. Meanwhile, the redesigned earpads not only improve comfort and seal but also reduce internal reflections, contributing to better acoustic accuracy over long sessions.

Physically, the LCD-5s are built with premium materials: carbon fiber, magnesium, and genuine leather, accented by polished copper-colored metal parts. At just 475 grams, they are relatively lightweight for this class of headphone.
Audeze also includes their highest-grade cable in the box, an OCC high-purity copper balanced XLR cable with adapters, ensuring signal integrity and broad compatibility.
