PMC has introduced a new Main Monitor series, marking its most substantial update in over 30 years and aligning with the company’s 35th anniversary. Unveiled at NAMM 2026, these monitors are fully redesigned and built in-house to meet the demands of today’s music, film, and broadcast production environments, particularly for spatial and object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos® Music.

The new lineup includes four models, PMC10, PMC12, PMC15, and PMC10-4, all fully active 3-way monitors using PMC’s updated driver platform and ATL™ (Advanced Transmission Line) bass-loading system. Each model can function as a standalone full-range system or be paired with matching XBD cabinets or subs to enhance low-frequency extension and overall system scalability.

At the heart of the redesign is a new long-throw bass driver platform. These drivers feature triple-wound voice coils, dual-spider suspensions, and heavily vented motor assemblies, offering up to 36mm of linear excursion, over three times the movement range of the previous generation. This allows for more precise, natural bass reproduction even at high SPLs, making them well-suited for immersive mix environments.

The midrange is handled by the new PMC75v3 soft-dome driver, which includes the proprietary a-void™ absorber to eliminate rear-wave reflections. It’s paired with PMC’s n-compass™ dual-profile waveguide, designed to maintain smooth dispersion and imaging consistency, critical for spatial audio localization.

High frequencies are reproduced by a hand-built 34mm soft-dome driver with low-distortion motor components and a shallow waveguide, supporting fatigue-free monitoring over extended sessions.
System management is handled by PMC’s SoundAlign2™ software and the master36 controller, a 3U unit offering 32-bit DSP processing, flexible input options, and six Class-D amplifiers delivering a combined 3600W. For larger or dual-cabinet systems, the power20 unit adds an additional 2000W of Class-D amplification to support extended bass configurations.

Thanks to consistent voicing and dispersion across all models, the Main Monitor Series is designed for flexible use in stereo setups, multichannel arrays, or immersive installations, allowing seamless integration across different monitoring formats.
You can experience the new PMC Main Monitor Series in person at NAMM 2026, booth 15908. A dedicated demo room is available for hands-on listening.
