Congratulations to Our Client Justin Gray on a Historic Grammy Win!

We are proud to work with clients who are deeply committed to their craft, and Justin Gray is a strong example of that dedication. As a longtime client and respected figure in the audio community, his recent Grammy win is a meaningful moment not only for his team, but for immersive audio production in Canada.

Justin Gray, a Toronto-based audio engineer, producer, and educator, has won the Grammy Award for Best Immersive Audio Album for Immersed. This marks the first time a Canadian has won in this category. The album reflects a focused approach to immersive sound and a collaborative production process centered in Toronto.

Immersed was composed specifically for immersive audio, placing listeners at the center of a 360-degree orchestral environment. The project features 38 Toronto artists, including Suba Sankaran, Jonathan Kay, and co-producer and violinist Drew Jurecka. Rather than adapting existing recordings, the music was written and produced from the start with immersive playback in mind.

Gray is widely recognized for his immersive mixing work with artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Snoop Dogg, Arkells, and The Tragically Hip. His work frequently uses Dolby Atmos to position sound around the listener, allowing audio elements to exist beside, behind, and above the audience.

In addition to his studio work, Gray teaches audio production at Humber Polytechnic, where he brings real-world production experience into the classroom. He has described Immersed as the result of many years of work, collaboration, and trust in the creative process, shaped by Toronto’s music community.

We would like to congratulate Justin Gray and everyone involved in Immersed on this achievement. It reflects a consistent commitment to immersive audio and collaborative production.
