Harrison Audio has released the Flex-10, a high-performance 10-input, 12-output USB-C and ADAT audio interface designed to bring the sound and workflow of classic Harrison consoles into modern recording setups. With two Harrison microphone preamps, H-DRIVE transformer saturation, console-derived filters, 32-bit conversion, and flexible monitoring, the Flex-10 combines practical studio connectivity with genuine analog tone shaping.
Harrison’s recording history stretches back to the 1970s, when the company’s 32 Series consoles helped shape records by artists including Led Zeppelin, Queen, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, and Supertramp. The Flex-10 draws from that heritage without attempting to recreate an old console in miniature. Instead, it places the most useful parts of the Harrison approach directly at the front end of a desktop recording system.

Two Harrison Preamps with H-DRIVE Saturation
The Flex-10 includes two high-performance Harrison microphone preamps. Each channel features an H-DRIVE transformer circuit that can move from clean, detailed capture to richer saturation as the input is driven harder.
This gives engineers and musicians control over how much character is recorded at the source. Vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, and drum microphones can remain open and controlled or take on a denser, more coloured tone without relying entirely on plug-ins after recording.
Two front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs make it easy to connect guitars, basses, and other instrument-level sources. Two additional line-level inputs support synthesizers, drum machines, preamps, and other studio equipment.
Console-Derived High-Pass and Low-Pass Filters
Each preamp channel includes high-pass and low-pass filters derived from Harrison’s classic 32 Series console designs. These controls provide a direct way to shape a signal before it reaches the converter.
The high-pass filter can reduce low-frequency rumble, handling noise, and unnecessary bass buildup. The low-pass filter can soften excessive brightness or remove unwanted high-frequency content. Used together, they help recordings sit more naturally in a mix from the first take.
The controls are intentionally straightforward. There are no menus to navigate and no software panels required for basic tone shaping.
Balanced Inserts for Outboard Equipment
Both input channels include balanced insert points, allowing compressors, equalizers, 500 Series modules, and effects processors to be placed directly into the recording path.
This is an important feature for studios that already own analog equipment. A favourite compressor can be used while tracking vocals, a Harrison module can become part of the front-end chain, or a character effect can be printed directly during recording.
The inserts also make the Flex-10 suitable for hybrid systems where hardware remains a central part of the production process.

32-Bit Conversion and ADAT Expansion
The Flex-10 supports recording at resolutions up to 32-bit and 192 kHz. This provides the accuracy and dynamic range expected from a current professional interface while preserving the option to add analog colour before conversion.
Eight channels of ADAT input and output allow the system to expand beyond its onboard analog connections. An external eight-channel preamp or converter can be added for drum recording, full-band sessions, hardware integration, or additional routing.
This combination makes the Flex-10 suitable for compact desktop setups as well as studios that may need more inputs over time.
Flexible Monitoring and Headphone Control
The monitoring section includes two independent stereo monitor outputs with dedicated level controls. This allows users to work with two sets of studio monitors without adding a separate monitor controller.
Two high-current headphone outputs support tracking sessions, collaborative writing, and production work with another musician or engineer. Independent physical controls keep monitoring adjustments immediate and accessible.
MIDI input and output are provided through 3.5 mm TRS connections, giving synthesizers, drum machines, controllers, and other MIDI equipment a direct connection to the system.
A Front Panel Designed for Daily Use
The Flex-10 places its main recording and monitoring controls on the front panel, including the instrument inputs, headphone connections, preamp settings, and large VU meters.
The meters provide clear visual feedback while reinforcing the interface’s connection to traditional studio equipment. The result is a unit that feels more like a compact recording front end than a generic desktop interface.

Harrison Mixbus 12 and the Creator Pack
Every Flex-10 includes a full licence for Harrison Mixbus 12. Mixbus is a console-inspired digital audio workstation built around a traditional mixing workflow, with Harrison console EQ available on every channel.
The interface also includes the Harrison Creator Pack, a software collection featuring virtual instruments, effects, guitar processing, loops, and samples from companies including Solid State Logic, Slate Digital, Sonible, Loopcloud, Applied Acoustics Systems, Native Instruments, and IK Multimedia.
Together, the hardware and software provide a complete starting point for recording, arranging, editing, and mixing.
