Neumann Expands KH Series with 5 New DSP Subwoofers for Every Studio Size

Studio Economik |

Neumann has added five new DSP-powered subwoofers to its KH Series, offering studio professionals flexible, high-performance solutions for everything from stereo production to immersive audio formats. Designed for medium to large rooms, these models cover a range of use cases and integrate seamlessly with existing KH Line monitors and the MA 1 room correction system.

Overview of the New KH Series Subwoofers

KH 805 II – Enhanced Stereo Performance

An upgrade from the KH 750 DSP, the KH 805 II delivers around double the output, providing deeper bass and more headroom for mid-sized studio spaces. It's well-suited for stereo setups paired with monitors like the KH 150 or KH 310, without compromising on clarity or detail.

KH 810 II – Multichannel Flexibility

Sharing the same acoustic design as the KH 805 II, the KH 810 II adds multichannel bass management for configurations up to 7.1.4. It’s a practical option for audio professionals moving into surround or immersive formats, especially when paired with KH 150 or KH 310 monitors.

KH 870 II – Maximum Output for Larger Studios

The KH 870 II is now the flagship in Neumann’s subwoofer lineup, delivering twice the output of the KH 810 II. With support for multichannel systems up to 7.1.4 and ample power for large monitors like the KH 420, it’s built for large spaces where precise low-end reproduction is critical.

KH 810 II AES67 – Built for Networked Audio

This variant of the KH 810 II comes equipped with full AES67 AoIP compatibility, making it ideal for broadcast or studio environments using networked systems. It can process 12 AES67 input channels and route them to up to 11 studio monitors via analog or AES3 (BNC) outputs. Features include support for ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, RAVENNA, and DANTE®-based AES67 streams.

KH 870 II AES67 – AoIP Flagship Solution

Combining the raw power of the KH 870 II with AES67 connectivity, this model supports immersive and networked setups in larger studios. It’s designed to integrate seamlessly into existing AoIP infrastructures, delivering both performance and future-ready flexibility.
