The Warm Audio Retro 64 is a dynamic microphone designed for live vocals and instruments, combining a 1960s-inspired broadcast mic design with performance features suited for today’s front-of-house setups. Its matte black finish and rugged metal body reflect the visual character of vintage microphones, while its internals are purpose-built for clarity and consistency on stage.
At the center of the Retro 64 is a custom-tuned humbucking dynamic capsule that emphasizes the upper midrange, helping vocals and instruments cut through the mix without sounding harsh. The design also rolls off excessive high frequencies to reduce feedback, making it a strong fit for high-volume environments. The cardioid polar pattern provides focused pickup with effective off-axis rejection, keeping unwanted noise under control.

The microphone’s internal shockmount protects the capsule from stage vibrations and handling noise, supporting its use in demanding live conditions. With a durable build inspired by old-school broadcast models, the Retro 64 is designed to perform reliably in a wide range of stage applications. It adapts naturally to lead and backing vocals, guitar cabinets, snare and tom drums, acoustic instruments, and broadcast use.
This model connects via a standard XLR jack and includes a hardmount and EVA foam case for transport. It features a frequency response of 50Hz to 18kHz, a maximum SPL of 135 dB, and an impedance of 300 ohms. Measuring 7.5 inches in length and weighing 1.7 pounds, the Retro 64 is compact enough for stage use while delivering solid performance across a wide range of applications.
Warm Audio will be exhibiting at NAMM 2026, where attendees can explore their latest gear in person. Visit them at Booths 15902 and 16308 to check out the Retro 64 and more professional audio equipment.
