Solid State Logic has introduced ORIGIN EVO, a new all‑analogue in‑line console that builds on the legacy of the classic 4000 Series while meeting the demands of today’s hybrid production environments. Unveiled at the 2026 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, SSL is showcasing ORIGIN EVO at booth 18301.

ORIGIN EVO expands the original ORIGIN platform by including E Series dynamics and EQ on every channel, delivering the character and response of the 4000 E console in a modern workflow. Each channel strip features PureDrive™ mic preamps with both clean and driven options, along with the signature ‘Black Knob’ 242 EQ and SSL high‑ and low‑pass filters.

Available in 16‑ or 32‑channel configurations, the console offers up to 88 inputs at mixdown, a versatile bus architecture, and a newly designed modular centre section. This layout allows studios to integrate outboard gear or SSL DAW controllers such as the UF8 or UF1, helping users merge analogue control with digital production.
The iconic SSL Bus Compressor returns in ORIGIN EVO with expanded compression ratios, a sidechain filter, and improved flexibility. For existing ORIGIN owners, SSL offers retrofit kits with EVO channel strips in 8‑channel groups, supporting easy upgrade paths.

With classic SSL analogue sound and streamlined integration for hybrid studios, ORIGIN EVO is positioned as a tactile and adaptable solution for today’s tracking and mixing workflows.
More to come.
