Warm Audio Expands Studio Tools with WA-RA Reamper, WA-DI-A2, and WA-DI-P2

Studio Economik |

Warm Audio has expanded its lineup with three new tools built for modern recording and live environments. The WA-RA ReamperWA-DI-A2 Active Stereo DI, and WA-DI-P2 Passive Stereo DI,  focus on reliable signal handling, flexible routing, and compatibility with a wide range of instruments and studio gear.

WA-RA Reamper

The WA-RA Reamper is an all-analog routing device designed to connect instruments, studio processors, and DAW-based workflows. It allows recorded tracks to be sent back through amplifiers or effects units, enabling re-amping without re-recording performances.

With independent instrument preamp and re-amp signal paths, the Reamper supports flexible signal flow between guitar rigs and studio environments. Variable impedance control allows compatibility with both passive and active instruments, while balanced and unbalanced connections support integration with a wide range of gear.

A built-in 50W power soak enables silent recording of tube amplifiers by allowing the amp to operate without a connected speaker. This makes it possible to capture the characteristics of a driven amplifier in environments where volume is limited.

The unit also supports inserting guitar pedals into line-level studio chains and integrating studio processors into guitar signal paths. CineMag transformers are used on both input and output stages, and the fully active circuit is designed for low-noise operation.

WA-DI-A2 Active Stereo DI

The WA-DI-A2 is a two-channel active direct box designed for stereo instruments such as keyboards, synthesizers, and guitar processors. It converts instrument-level signals into balanced outputs suitable for mixers and audio interfaces while maintaining consistent signal levels across different setups.

This model uses selectable active circuitry powered by 48V phantom power, allowing it to better match high-impedance sources. The inclusion of a transformer-balanced signal path with CineMag USA transformers supports accurate signal conversion and isolation. The unit also includes a variable pad control from -3 dB to -30 dB and a ground lift switch to help reduce unwanted noise.

The active design can assist with longer cable runs and can also be switched to passive mode when needed, providing flexibility depending on the application.

WA-DI-P2 Passive Stereo DI

The WA-DI-P2 offers a fully passive two-channel design for stereo signal conversion without requiring external power. It is suited for lower impedance sources such as keyboards, drum machines, and acoustic-electric instruments.

Like the active version, it features CineMag USA transformers for signal integrity, along with balanced outputs for integration into professional audio systems. The passive circuit maintains the original tonal characteristics of the source while providing consistent performance in both studio and live environments.

The unit includes the same rugged construction, variable pad control, and ground lift functionality, making it a practical solution for clean and reliable signal routing.

Practical Applications Across Audio Setups

These three products address different parts of the signal chain while maintaining a consistent design approach focused on transformer-based signal handling and durable construction. The stereo DI models simplify connecting instruments to professional audio systems, while the Reamper expands routing possibilities between recording and performance gear.

Each unit is built for use in both studio and live environments and includes a 5-year warranty.
