Warm Audio has released three new guitar pedals today with the WA-C1 MOD, Centavo MOD and Limited-edition The Black Keys Peach Fuzz. The lineup combines two compact revisions of Warm Audio classics with a new signature fuzz developed in collaboration with The Black Keys.
The WA-C1 MOD and Centavo MOD take familiar Warm Audio circuits and rework their enclosures for tighter modern pedalboards. The Peach Fuzz goes in a different direction, building on the Foxy Tone Box with an octave control developed around a signal-chain combination favored by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.
WA-C1 MOD Brings Vintage Chorus Into a Smaller Format
The Warm Audio WA-C1 MOD is a compact version of the company's recreation of the celebrated analog chorus and vibrato circuit associated with the Roland/Boss CE-1.
Warm Audio retains the separate controls for chorus depth and rate found on its original recreation while substantially reducing the enclosure size. Top-mounted connections also make it easier to fit alongside other pedals without sacrificing extra space for side-mounted cables.
A new bypassable analog preamp circuit is another important change. Players can choose to keep the preamp in the signal path for the character associated with the original design or bypass it for a more straightforward chorus and vibrato setup.
The pedal remains fully analog and provides separate chorus and vibrato controls, selectable input sensitivity and stereo operation.
Centavo MOD Keeps the Circuit and Shrinks the Pedal
The Centavo MOD takes Warm Audio's recreation of the Klon Centaur circuit and puts it into a much smaller custom-cast enclosure.
Rather than redesigning the electronics to accommodate the new format, Warm Audio says the Centavo MOD uses the same parts and exact circuit as the original full-size Warm Audio Centavo. The changes are focused on the physical design, including a drastically reduced footprint and top-mounted jacks.
The circuit uses premium components including TL072 op amps, vintage-style diodes, carbon and metal film resistors, and a charge-pump voltage regulator. The familiar Gain, Treble and Output controls remain, giving players the same style of transparent overdrive, boost and gain shaping in a pedalboard-friendly format.
The Black Keys Peach Fuzz
The most distinctive release of the three is the limited-edition The Black Keys Peach Fuzz, developed by Warm Audio in collaboration with Dan Auerbach.
The pedal begins with Warm Audio's Foxy Tone Box platform, itself based on the vintage Foxx Tone Machine, and combines fuzz with an octave-up circuit. Warm Audio worked with Auerbach around this fuzz-and-octave combination while adding a new momentary function to the octave control.
The octave switch can operate normally or be used in momentary mode, allowing the octave-up effect to appear only while the switch is held. This makes it possible to bring the upper octave into individual notes, leads or specific sections without leaving it engaged for the entire passage.
The circuit uses NOS 2N3565 Fairchild transistors, carbon resistors, germanium 1N34A diodes and premium film capacitors based around components found in the original design. Its peach-colored shag enclosure also ties directly into The Black Keys' Peaches! album released in May 2026.
Three Takes on Vintage Pedal Circuits
The WA-C1 MOD and Centavo MOD are aimed squarely at players who like Warm Audio's existing recreations but want them to occupy less space. Both preserve the character and controls of their larger counterparts while moving to compact housings with top-mounted connections.
The Peach Fuzz is more of its own creation. It takes the vintage Foxx Tone Machine concept behind the Foxy Tone Box and adds a performance-focused octave function developed with The Black Keys.
Together, the three releases expand Warm Audio's pedal lineup without moving away from the vintage circuits that inspired it.
