Warm Audio’s Throne of Tone & Tube Squealer: Amp-Like Overdrives With Legendary Voicings

Warm Audio has unveiled two new overdrive pedals that bring iconic tones to modern rigs: the Throne of Tone and the Tube Squealer. Both are handcrafted analog pedals designed for players who want amp-like response, studio-quality voicings, and stage-ready versatility.

Throne of Tone: Dual-Sided British-Inspired Overdrive

The Throne of Tone (WA-TOT) is a tribute to two of the most beloved British amp-style overdrives. It features dual channels, each with independent gain, tone, presence, and three drive modes: Boost, OD, and Distortion. Whether you're stacking the channels or switching between them for rhythm and lead, this pedal offers true versatility.

Designed to nail the expressive, mid-gain "amp breaking up" tones from vintage circuits, it features 24 diodes and premium op-amps (JRC4580, TL072), delivering true analog warmth and dynamic touch sensitivity.

A presence knob (500Hz–2.3kHz) lets you shape upper mids per channel, while a rear-mounted voltage boost (9V to 18V) gives you more headroom and punch. And with full true-bypass switching, FX loop routing, and no internal dip switches, everything’s accessible right from the panel.

From boosting clean amps to building a full dual-channel overdrive rig, the Throne of Tone is built for tone flexibility with no digital distractions.

Tube Squealer: Three Screaming Overdrives in One Box

The Tube Squealer (WA-TS) channels three of the most famous overdrive circuits ever made: 808, TS9, and TS10. With selectable voicings and modern enhancements, it’s a powerful pedal for anyone chasing warm tube saturation and mid-gain drive.

At its core is a 100% analog circuit built around JRC4558 op-amps, JFETs, and discrete transistors. The mix knob is a standout, letting you blend clean and dirty tones for added clarity or all-out saturation. There's also a pickup voicing switch to optimize response for humbuckers or single coils, and a voltage booster to open up dynamic headroom.

Whether you're after edge-of-breakup tones, mid-gain grit, or a focused boost, the Tube Squealer is equally at home in front of a clean amp or pushing a crunchy one harder. It’s true-bypass selectable and compact enough for any board.

Which One’s Right for You?

Go for the Throne of Tone if you want a versatile dual-channel pedal with lots of tweakable drive options, full-stack sounds, and EQ flexibility. Great for stacking, switching tones mid-song, or crafting amp-like breakup on clean platforms.

Choose the Tube Squealer if you want to capture classic mid-gain overdrive voicings with modern flexibility. It’s the perfect screamer-style pedal with added tonal sculpting for today's rigs.

Both pedals are hand-tested in Austin, TX and built for players who value vintage tone with modern reliability. With these releases, Warm Audio proves once again that great tone starts with the right foundation,no frills, just honest, amp-like overdrive.
