Description

The MOD-DADLINK is a dedicated expansion module designed to enable ultra-high-speed audio connectivity between DADlink-compatible units, forming the backbone of Digital Audio Denmark’s zero-latency audio transport system. When installed into a compatible device such as the AX64, AX Center, Core 256, AX32, or Penta Series (with the latest firmware), the MOD-DADLINK transforms the unit into part of a supercharged digital audio network, capable of transmitting up to 256 bidirectional channels over just two optical fibers with virtually zero latency.

Built for the most demanding professional audio environments, the MOD-DADLINK supports sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz, intelligently adjusting channel count based on the rate to maximize performance without compromising quality. Its internal transmission uses a 28-bit floating point format, delivering an unprecedented 237 dB dynamic range, ensuring pristine, transparent audio delivery between units. With time-stamped signal alignment and a phase-coherent buffer system built into every connected unit, MOD-DADLINK ensures all audio remains in perfect sync no matter the complexity of the routing or the size of the system.

In practice, installing the MOD-DADLINK means equipping your DAD or NTP unit with a direct digital connection to the core of another unit, bypassing traditional network congestion or format conversion. All connections are made via optional SFP optical modules using 1000Base single-mode or multimode fiber, and system integration is completed through DADman control software, which manages latency settings and clock master configuration. Whether you’re building a large-scale audio production facility or a tightly synchronized multi-room setup, MOD-DADLINK is the ultimate tool for seamless, lossless, and lightning-fast audio integration.
