The DI-20 Stereo Passive Direct Box is a 100 percent analog, transformer-balanced solution for capturing clean stereo signals from keyboards, synths, drum machines, pedals, and other instruments. Designed for both studio recording and live sound, it provides a straightforward way to send balanced signals directly to mic preamps while preserving the natural character of your source. Its compact, low-profile format makes it easy to place on a desk, pedalboard, or stage setup without taking up unnecessary space.
Featuring dual custom-wound Franklin Audio transformers, the DI-20 delivers high headroom, excellent isolation, and a full-range response with minimal noise. The passive design requires no external power, keeping setup simple and dependable. Two 1/4 inch TS inputs handle stereo sources, while dual balanced XLR outputs connect seamlessly to audio interfaces or mic preamps. Each channel also includes a 1/4 inch through output, providing an untouched copy of the original signal for parallel processing or sending to amplifiers.
Housed in a heavy-duty folded steel enclosure and fitted with quality Neutrik connectors, the DI-20 is built for long-term reliability. Designed and handmade in Sydney, Australia, it offers a practical and professional stereo DI solution that focuses on clarity, durability, and ease of use.
