Description

The Zoom A1X FOUR is a versatile, performance-driven multi-effects processor built specifically for acoustic instruments but with an added edge: an expression pedal for real-time control. Designed for players of acoustic guitar, violin, saxophone, trumpet, harmonica, upright bass, and more, the A1X FOUR delivers over 90 built-in effects, including 35+ acoustic-specific effects that go far beyond repurposed electric guitar sounds. From delicate EQ adjustments to bold creative textures, it helps you shape and personalize your instrument’s voice with precision and ease.

What sets the A1X FOUR apart is its integrated expression pedal, unlocking eight additional pedal-controlled effects. This allows you to dynamically control parameters like volume, pitch, wah, reverb, and delay which is perfect for expressive live performances. You can chain up to five effects at once, store up to 50 user patches, and explore even more through Zoom Guitar Lab, a free software platform for downloading and customizing patches. It also features acoustic guitar modeling with IR technology, an anti-feedback filter, and dedicated patches for each instrument type, fine-tuned to match real-world playing styles and tonal expectations.

The unit is compact, battery-powered (up to 18 hours), and includes a 30-second looper, 68 rhythm patterns, and a chromatic tuner that supports a wide range of tunings. Whether you're recreating the rich body of a vintage acoustic guitar, adding wah to your trumpet, or enhancing your violin’s tone with distortion tuned for bowed attack, the Zoom A1X FOUR gives you hands-on control and deep tonal shaping which makes it a powerful companion for any acoustic performance setup.
