The Soyuz Launcher Deluxe is a stereo inline microphone preamp and saturator designed to add gain, character, and analog color to microphones and line-level sources. Expanding on the concept of the original Launcher, this dual-channel version provides two independent signal paths, making it ideal for stereo recording setups, paired microphones, or creative signal processing during tracking, mixing, or live performance.
Each channel features custom hand-wound toroidal transformers and a fully analog circuit that delivers the distinctive tonal character associated with classic studio gear. When used in Launcher Mode, the unit provides up to 26 dB of additional gain, making it especially useful for dynamic and ribbon microphones that require extra amplification. This additional gain helps relieve strain on interface or mixer preamps while introducing warmth, depth, and harmonic richness to the signal.
The Launcher Deluxe also includes a Saturate Mode, which bypasses the gain boost and instead applies the device’s signature transformer-based coloration to any microphone or line-level source. This mode allows users to add analog character to condenser microphones, synthesizers, stems, or full mixes without increasing signal level. Phantom power can pass through the unit when needed, allowing active microphones to operate normally while still benefiting from the added tonal color.
With two channels, flexible connectivity via XLR and TRS combo inputs, and a frequency range of 10 Hz to 20 kHz, the Launcher Deluxe is designed for both studio and portable workflows. Compact and rugged, it can be used in recording studios, live rigs, podcast setups, or mobile production environments. By combining gain enhancement with transformer-driven saturation, the Launcher Deluxe provides a versatile tool for engineers and artists looking to bring more character and presence to their recordings.
