Description

The REDD.47 Special Edition Pre Amp by Chandler Limited, in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, is a meticulously crafted tribute to the golden age of studio recording. This Special Edition revives the iconic sound of EMI's REDD.51 mixing console, a legendary piece of gear known for its punchy and aggressive tone. By integrating original vintage components sourced from the 1960s and '70s, Chandler Limited has faithfully recreated the character and feel of this sought-after classic, offering engineers and producers a truly authentic recording experience. The preamp is designed not only to deliver exceptional sound quality but also to serve as a long-term investment, made to endure with enduring craftsmanship.

This unit introduces more than just nostalgic aesthetics, it carries a legacy forward with purpose. The Special Edition incorporates key elements from the original REDD.51 console, including Input Sensitivity, Line Input, and Bass Lift controls. Its circuitry features vintage resistors (such as Piher, ISKRA, and Beyschlag) and capacitors (like Siemens, Wima, and the colorful Mullard ‘tropical fish' types), all selected for their audio fidelity and historical significance. Visually, it captures the essence of its roots, complete with a classic console-style layout and an illuminated EMI logo. As the first in Chandler's upcoming "Super Vintage" line, the REDD.47 Special Edition stands as both a sonic powerhouse and a collector's gem.
