Description

The Josephson C706 is a versatile large-diaphragm studio microphone designed to deliver a natural and detailed sound across a wide range of recording applications. Built around a dual-diaphragm cardioid capsule with precision-machined internal components, it captures vocals with smooth highs, rich midrange detail, and a controlled proximity effect that adds warmth without becoming overpowering. Its low output impedance also makes it compatible with a variety of preamps and recording setups, making it equally suitable for instruments, ensembles, and studio voice work.

The microphone features a rugged case-hardened steel body with a distinctive offset grille structure that helps reduce internal reflections for a cleaner and more balanced tone. An internally shockmounted capsule minimizes handling vibrations, allowing the C706 to be mounted directly to a stand through its integrated yoke mount. The industrial black finish gives it a durable and understated appearance that fits comfortably in both studio and live environments.
