The Earthworks ETHOS B is a premium broadcast condenser microphone crafted to deliver exceptional clarity and articulation in spoken word applications such as podcasting, voiceover, narration, and broadcasting. With a sleek matte black finish and a distinctive modern design, this mic is as visually striking as it is sonically precise. At its heart is a small-diaphragm condenser capsule, known for its incredibly fast transient response and wide 20 Hz to 30 kHz frequency range, capturing every nuance and subtle inflection in the voice.

Unlike typical cardioid broadcast mics, the ETHOS B features a supercardioid polar pattern, which offers tighter focus on the voice and stronger rejection of off-axis ambient noise which is perfect for untreated rooms or busy environments. Its robust internal electronics ensure low self-noise (16 dBA) and high SPL handling (up to 145 dB), making it equally suitable for soft-spoken detail or dynamic, energetic delivery. Whether mounted on a mic stand or a boom arm, the included Triad-Orbit M2-R adapter ensures flexible, rock-solid positioning. A custom foam windscreen is also included to reduce plosives and breath noise during close-mic use.
