Description

The Allen & Heath DT164-W is a Dante-enabled audio interface designed specifically for permanent installation in venues like theatres, education facilities, houses of worship, and corporate spaces. It offers 16 high-quality mic preamps and 4 balanced line outputs, all accessible via XLR connectors on the front panel. Unlike the portable DT168, the DT164-W is built for wall or floor trap mounting, featuring a compact, steel chassis compatible with standard NEMA 12x12” enclosures and custom brackets for flush or surface mounting.

This unit operates at 48kHz or 96kHz, offering studio-grade audio performance with a +60dB gain range, -20dB pad, and maximum input level of +30dBu. Each input includes phantom power with status LEDs, and the Ethernet-based Dante interface includes Primary and Secondary locking EtherCon ports for redundant or daisy-chained networking. The DT164-W can be powered via AC mains (100–240V), a fixed screw terminal, or 12V DC, giving it great flexibility for installations with backup power needs.
