The PMC12 XBD is a powerful dual-cabinet monitoring system designed for high-end studios that require both finesse and force. Positioned above the PMC10 XBD in PMC’s lineup, this system offers enhanced scale, low-frequency extension, and SPL capability, making it ideally suited for elite music production, broadcast facilities, and film post-production where sonic precision and power are critical.
Each PMC12 XBD system consists of a main three-way cabinet and a matching XBD bass cabinet, both utilizing PMC’s Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) design with LaminairX™ airflow venting. The main cabinet features a hand-crafted 34mm soft-dome tweeter and the PMC75v3 midrange driver, both precisely aligned by the n-compass™ waveguide for tight dispersion and tonal integrity. The two cabinets house a total of two newly developed 12-inch bass drivers engineered for ultra-low distortion and linear performance at high output levels. The entire system is powered by PMC’s master36 DSP amplifier, providing 800W to each high and mid driver, and 1000W to each bass unit - totalling 3.6kW of clean, dynamic power. SoundAlign2 browser-based control ensures simple configuration and precise room EQ for any installation format such as vertical, horizontal, tandem, or centre-focused setups.
