Description

The Shure MX184 is a wired lavalier electret condenser microphone designed specifically for clear and focused vocal pickup in settings where ambient noise rejection is essential. This model features a supercardioid polar pattern, which gives it a narrow pickup angle (115) and high off-axis noise rejection"ideal for applications like public speaking, presentations, broadcast, and live performance where background noise can be a concern. Its small form factor allows it to clip easily to clothing like lapels and ties, and it includes a rotatable tie-clip for flexible placement.

What sets the MX184 apart is its ability to deliver clean, intelligible audio with reduced ambient interference. It has a wide frequency response (50 Hz to 17 kHz) and is supplied with a snap-fit foam windscreen, which helps control breath noise and plosive sounds. The microphone also offers a balanced, transformerless output to minimize signal degradation over long cable runs. It's powered via 11"52 VDC phantom power and comes equipped with a 1.2-meter shielded cable terminated with a 4-pin female mini connector (TA4F) for integration with wireless bodypacks or other systems.
