The Sony ECM-90LM is an ultra-miniature, omni-directional electret condenser lavalier microphone designed to meet the rigorous demands of ENG (Electronic News Gathering), studio production, EFP (Electronic Field Production), and location sound applications. With its refined dual-diaphragm design, this model offers high sensitivity, a broad dynamic range, and impressively low noise levels. The flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz ensures a transparent, natural sound that faithfully captures voices and ambient audio alike.

Engineered for field reliability, the ECM-90LM features a water-resistant housing and a uniquely constructed diaphragm mount that reduces cable-induced noise-ideal for active or mobile recording situations. Moreover, the microphone is fully shielded, making it compatible with digital wireless transmitters without introducing interference or audio artifacts.

Despite its performance capabilities, the ECM-90LM maintains a compact form factor. The microphone head measures only 3.5 mm in diameter and weighs just 1 gram, allowing for easy concealment under clothing or in costumes-perfect for broadcast and theatrical use. It includes a 3-pin Lemo connector, making it compatible with a wide range of professional wireless systems, particularly those in the Sony DWX Series.

This microphone comes with essential accessories including a windscreen and both vertical and horizontal tie clips, allowing for quick deployment in a variety of setups. Its 1.6-meter cable provides ample length for flexible mic placement in interviews, film shoots, or live presentations.
