Description

The Oberheim TEO-5 Desktop Module brings the character of a five-voice analog Oberheim poly synth into a compact format designed for use with an external MIDI keyboard, sequencer, or DAW. Its sound engine combines two analog voltage-controlled oscillators, a sub oscillator, and the classic 2-pole SEM state-variable analog filter, giving you a broad range of warm pads, punchy basses, expressive leads, animated textures, and more experimental tones. Through-zero FM, oscillator sync, flexible envelope routing, and an extensive modulation system add plenty of room for deeper sound design.

The module also includes two LFOs, including a per-voice polyphonic LFO, along with a 64-step polyphonic sequencer and a multimode arpeggiator for creating rhythmic and evolving parts. A Vintage control introduces subtle pitch, filter, and envelope variation between voices, while dedicated overdrive and onboard effects provide chorus, delays, phasing, ring modulation, distortion, rotating speaker effects, reverb, and other processing options. The front-panel layout keeps key sound-shaping controls close at hand, making the TEO-5 well suited to both hands-on programming and performance-oriented setups.

For desktop integration, the TEO-5 Module supports USB MIDI, traditional 5-pin MIDI In, Out, and Thru, stereo audio outputs, headphones, and connections for a footswitch and expression pedal. It is class compliant over USB with Mac and Windows, so it can fit easily into a computer-based studio while still working comfortably in hardware-focused MIDI rigs.
