Description

The Antelope Audio Orion Studio Synergy Core is a high-performance audio interface. It combines multiple analog and digital connection options with Antelope’s clocking technology, giving users a reliable hub for capturing vocals, instruments, external gear, and full recording setups with clarity and control.

Its workflow centers around the Orion Studio Synergy Core Control Panel, where users can manage input gain, signal routing, monitoring, metering, mixing, and onboard Synergy Core effects. This makes it well suited for sessions that need quick headphone mixes, real-time effects while tracking, or separate dry and processed recordings sent into a DAW. The interface can also operate after initial setup without a computer connection, functioning as a digital mixer controlled from the front panel.

For recording, the unit offers 12 combo preamp inputs, including front-panel inputs that can handle microphones, line sources, and Hi-Z instruments such as electric guitars and basses. It also includes monitor outputs, two headphone outputs, line outputs, reamp outputs, ADAT, S/PDIF, word clock, USB, and Thunderbolt connectivity, making it adaptable for anything from solo production to larger hybrid studio setups.

Creative users can take advantage of the included Synergy Core effects collection, which covers guitar amps and cabinets, vintage-style EQs, compressors, utility tools, and reverb. These effects can be used for low-latency monitoring and shaping sounds during recording, helping artists hear a polished cue mix without relying solely on the computer. Guitarists can plug directly into the front panel, use amp and cabinet processing, and record tones in real time.

The Orion Studio Synergy Core also supports Antelope’s Edge and Verge microphone emulations on select inputs, giving compatible modeling microphones a wider range of tonal options. For studios using outboard equipment, the unit includes analog inserts and reamp outputs, making it easy to integrate hardware processors, guitar amplifiers, and other external tools into the production workflow.

Overall, the Orion Studio Synergy Core is a capable studio centerpiece for users who want extensive I/O, flexible routing, low-latency monitoring, onboard effects, and strong integration with both hardware and software recording environments. It is especially useful for creators who want one interface that can handle tracking, monitoring, routing, effects, reamping, and hybrid studio workflows from a single system.
