The Schoeps B 1 D is an elaborately constructed, highly efficient pop shield with a closed metal gauze construction. As with the B 5 D and the windshield baskets, the sound openings of the microphone are enclosed by an air volume.
It achieves high attenuation of plosive sounds from 0 degrees and is compatible with all axially addressed microphones from Schoeps.
