The Audix ADX40W is a miniature hanging condenser microphone designed for overhead audio capture in performance, presentation, and installed sound environments. Finished in a low-profile white housing, the ADX40W blends discreetly into ceilings and stage spaces, making it an excellent choice for choir performances, orchestras, theatrical productions, group vocals, and ambient room miking where minimal visual distraction is important. Its lightweight design and hanging configuration allow it to capture sound naturally from a distance while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

Equipped with a controlled cardioid polar pattern, the ADX40W helps focus on the intended performance area while reducing unwanted background noise and bleed from surrounding sources. Its smooth 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and detailed transient response provide natural, balanced sound reproduction for vocals and acoustic ensembles. The microphone is especially effective for covering wider areas in live performance settings while preserving clarity and articulation.

The ADX40W includes a 30-foot attached shielded cable, wire hanger for positioning, external windscreen, and phantom power adapter for flexible installation and reliable operation.
