Description

The Schoeps CMC 6 U with MK 2H is a mono, small-diaphragm condenser microphone system for natural instrument, ensemble, and orchestral recording. Its omnidirectional capsule provides a linear overall response at medium recording distances where direct and reflected sound are present in similar proportions. A mild acoustic elevation above 6 kHz compensates for high-frequency losses in the diffuse field, producing a balanced, rounded sound in well-controlled reverberant spaces.

The CMC 6 U amplifier automatically adapts to 12 V or 48 V phantom power while maintaining consistent performance. Its balanced, direct-coupled Class A circuitry provides low output impedance, minimal distortion, strong RF protection, and reliable signal transmission over long microphone cables. The modular Colette design supports compatible capsules and active accessories, while the supplied stand clamp, popscreen, and wooden case provide the essentials for setup, protection, and storage.
