Description

The Cinela COSI-XL-19 is a professional modular windshield system designed for short-body shotgun microphones used in demanding film, broadcast, and location sound environments. Built around Cinela’s lightweight and compact COSI design, the XL version features a 24cm cage with a 19mm holder, making it an excellent fit for microphones such as the Sanken CS-1e, Sennheiser MKH 8060 with XLR module and without the MZF filter, and the DPA 2017. Its extra-long cage design provides effective wind and handling noise protection while maintaining a low-profile form factor suitable for boom operation and portable recording setups.

The COSI-XL-19 uses Cinela’s integrated suspension and acoustic design to minimise handling noise and maintain transparent microphone performance in both indoor and outdoor recording conditions. The non-removable medium-pile fur covering is engineered as a balanced solution for versatile everyday use, helping reduce wind interference without adding unnecessary bulk. The included long cable configuration is specifically designed for the larger L and XL cages, supporting clean cable routing and stable microphone placement during production use. 

Designed for professional workflow flexibility, the COSI-XL-19 combines lightweight construction with reliable isolation and compatibility across several industry-standard shotgun microphones.
