The Ambisonics Plugin transforms the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II into a compact powerhouse for immersive audio, enabling 360 ambisonic recording, playback, and monitoring. Designed for VR, AR, and spatial audio production, it supports both A-Format and B-Format (FuMa and AmbiX) workflows and works seamlessly with the Sennheiser AMBEO VR Mic and other ambisonic microphones.

With features like real-time A-to-B format conversion, binaural monitoring, and the ability to simultaneously record ambisonic, stereo, and binaural WAV files, the plugin ensures maximum flexibility in the field or studio. Recording quality reaches up to 192 kHz / 24-bit, with support for multiple mic orientations (Up, Down, Endfire). An automatic 4-channel gain linking function allows intuitive single-knob gain control, making ambisonic recording both accessible and efficient.
