The Avid MTRX Dual SDI/HD/3G Embed/De-Embed Card is an optional expansion module designed to extend the capabilities of the Pro Tools | MTRX interface for professional broadcast, post-production, and video production environments. By providing seamless audio embedding and de-embedding within SDI video workflows, this card enables efficient integration between audio and video systems while maintaining the flexibility and routing power of the MTRX platform.
The card supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI formats, allowing users to extract up to 16 channels of embedded audio from incoming SDI video signals and route them throughout the MTRX ecosystem. Audio can be distributed to Pro Tools, MADI, Dante, AES3, or analog outputs, making it an ideal solution for facilities that require streamlined audio management across multiple formats and devices. Built-in sample rate conversion helps ensure compatibility between different audio sources and production workflows, simplifying complex routing scenarios.
In addition to de-embedding capabilities, the card also enables audio embedding directly into SDI video streams, allowing selected audio sources from Pro Tools, Dante, MADI, AES3, or analog inputs to be inserted into outgoing video signals. This makes the MTRX Dual SDI/HD/3G Embed/De-Embed Card a valuable tool for dubbing stages, broadcast facilities, live production environments, and post-production studios where synchronized audio and video transport is critical.
