Description

The OCT-3D Set is a complete nine-channel microphone system for immersive 5.1.4 recording, including Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D applications. It extends the established OCT surround technique with four height channels, providing natural spatial sound, balanced imaging, stable localization, and strong channel separation.

The set combines six CCM 41 L supercardioid microphones, three CCM 4 L cardioid microphones, and a dual-bar mounting system with additional riders for the height channels. Optional STR 250 support rods can separate the upper and lower microphone levels to reduce diffuse-field correlation, while direct mounting on the stereo bars supports a more compact configuration.

Features

Nine-Channel Immersive Recording
A complete microphone arrangement for capturing OCT-3D recordings in the 5.1.4 format.

Four Height Channels
The OCT configuration is extended with four vertical channels for three-dimensional sound reproduction.

Natural Spatial Imaging
The recording technique supports natural surround sound, balanced imaging, and stable source localization.

Strong Channel Separation
High separation and direct-signal suppression help maintain clear distinctions between the main, surround, and height channels.

Diffuse-Field Decorrelation
The microphone arrangement provides high decorrelation in the diffuse field for a spacious immersive presentation.

Complete Microphone Array
Includes six CCM 41 L supercardioid microphones and three CCM 4 L cardioid microphones.

Adjustable Mounting System
Two MAB 1000 stereo bars, additional height-channel riders, and a CB-MAB bracket support the OCT-3D arrangement.

Flexible Vertical Placement
Optional STR 250 rods create spacing between microphone levels, while the height microphones can also mount directly on the stereo bars.

Modular Microphone Alternative
The compact microphones can be replaced with corresponding CMC 1 L amplifier and MK capsule combinations.
