Description

The COMTEK PR-75A is a compact personal receiver designed for clear, intelligible wireless audio in the 72 to 76 MHz band. Its standard EQ emphasizes the frequencies most important to speech intelligibility, making it well suited for assistive listening, language interpretation, tour guide presentations, school programs, church services, and other personal communication applications.

AutoSmart-Tuning® (AST) keeps operation simple by automatically searching for and selecting an appropriate compatible transmitter when a headset is plugged in. A single tuning button can restart the process when multiple transmitters are operating nearby, and the receiver can also be programmed for a fixed frequency or a preset group of frequencies. A multi-function LED provides status information for channel seeking, signal reception, no signal, and low battery.

The PR-75A works with stereo or mono headsets through its 3.5 mm audio output and uses the connected headphone cable as its antenna, so no separate external antenna is required. Powered by two AA alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, it offers up to 100 hours of battery life. Automatic power-on and power-off, straightforward volume control, flash memory technology, and a rugged portable design make it a practical choice for everyday listening applications.
